 Zero Waste Kauai needs YOUR help! Green News: Who: Call for Zero Waste Kauai volunteers! Where: KIUC Annual Picnic, Vidinha Stadium Map of Vidinha Memorial Stadium, Kapula Street When: Saturday, June 21st, 2008 What: Volunteer for Resource Stream Diversion Why: Because you care! We will have 3 bins at each collection station, labeled “Compostables”, “Recyclables” and “Waste”. Volunteers are needed to ‘supervise’ the disposal of waste and to divert as much as possible from the “Waste” cans. This event is extremely family oriented (water slides for kids, etc). So feel free to bring your whole family while you donate a few hours of your time to protect our green `aina and educate fellow residents about the proper waste disposal. We will be working in shifts: I need 2 people to volunteer for 7/8am – 10am, hopefully these same 2 can stay for the 10a - 1pm shift. Need volunteers for 10am - 1pm shift. Need volunteers for 1pm – 4pm shift. Need 3 volunteers for cleanup from 4pm – 6pm. Need a couple volunteers to man our booth and educate the public! We also need a couple volunteers to man the Zero Waste Kauai booth at the Healing Gardens Festival at Malama Kauai!
